Greenspace Cafe is a vegan paradise

For people with plant-based diets, it is often difficult to find restaurants that fit their lifestyle, especially around the holidays, when going out to eat is a typical venture. When it comes to vegan restaurants that are worth the price, the options are limited. Greenspace Cafe, owned by Daniel Kahn and cardiologist Joel Kahn, which is located in Ferndale, embodies many qualities that both vegans and meat eaters look for in a restaurant.

Being vegan, I’ve had numerous experiences with vegan restaurants. However, none match the superb quality exhibited by the food I enjoyed at Greenspace. My expectations were high as I got my food, and I was not let down. The food was well-cooked, tasted good, and was original; Greenspace was unlike any other restaurant I had previously been to.

The atmosphere of Greenspace is friendly and comfortable, with a pleasant balance of earthly and sophisticated interior decorations such as stone, bamboo, wood, and plants. Upon walking into the restaurant, my first impression was that it was uniquely decorated, making it a very welcoming and elegant environment and setting my expectations high for my meal.

As I looked at my menu, I noticed that Greenspace offers an assortment of unique and delicious plant-based options that are hardly found elsewhere, such as cheese boards, barbecue sandwiches, and pizza, all of which are made completely vegan. The cafe is sure to be enjoyed by both vegans and non-vegans alike, as the quality and variety of the food on the menu gives customers numerous possibilities to find something they’ll enjoy.

At Greenspace, there are separate menus depending on the time of day. There is a lunch & brunch menu (11:00 a.m.- 3.00 p.m.) and dinner menu (5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m). The price range for dishes on both of the menus range from $3-20, so there are options available for a multitude of budgets.

My recommendation for anyone who visits Greenspace is the cheese board. It isn’t common for vegan cheese to be made in such a superb and unique quality, and the Greenspace cheese board is definitely worth a try.

The staff at Greenspace are friendly and personable, adding to the welcoming environment. Although members of the staff are good-natured and attentive, it took quite a long time for our food to be delivered after ordering it. I waited for nearly 45 minutes for my food upon making the order. As long as customers are up for the wait, once the food is served, it’s worth it!

Overall, I had a very positive experience at Greenspace, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to try something new.

I’m loving this review! Seems like a great restaurant. However, do you know where I could go to eat a ribeye steak?

I agree! The chessboard at green space is delicious. My favorite meal has been the macro bowl. Yum!
