ASTONISHING. INCREDIBLE. MARVELOUS. These are the words that sum up The Greatest Showman, a riveting cinematic adventure with 11 sensational, heartwarming songs. Under Michael Gracey’s direction, the film is a piece of pure entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

The Greatest Showman follows P.T. Barnum, an everyday man who lived in the slums of New York in his early life. As P.T. manages to overcome these hardships and misfortune in life, he creates a spectacular circus and brings his life together.

Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Zendaya put on a brilliant performance in The Greatest Showman. This is a movie which I have no objections with. Director Michael Gracey creates a flawless film in which the viewers are left in awe.

Barnum kicks off this journey by gathering a group of curiosities, ranging from Zendaya playing Anne Wheeler to Keala Settle playing the sensational Bearded Lady. Entering later and reprising his role in world of musicale came Philip Carlyle, played by Zac Efron.

After experiencing the hardships and the misfortune of life, Barnum manages to restart the renowned circus and bring his life back together. Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Zendaya put on a brilliant performance in The Greatest Showman. Director Michael Gracey creates a flawless film in which the viewers are left in awe, especially considering that it was his first major motion picture.

The excellent writing in the movie is all thanks to Gracey. He manages to create an almost comedic tone throughout the movie, while remaining authentic to the time period. Alongside choreographer Mathieu Leopold, Gracey is able to combine the worlds of theater and motion picture to create this masterpiece.
