Last February, the City of Farmington Hills announced that the plans to renovate the property that included Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum or Marvelous Marvin’s, into a Meijer supermarket and other stores, would proceed.
In the time since then, visitors of the arcade and museum have been left pondering what would happen to the social hotspot.
On December 9th the owners of the arcade announced that they are closing their current location at Hunters Square Shopping Center in Farmington Hills on January 5th and moving to their new one at Orchard Mall in West Bloomfield.
The new location is approximately 14,000 square feet, more than twice the size of the Hunters Square location.
Jeremy Yagoda, the owner of Marvelous Marvin’s, noted that a lot of the extra space will be used for private birthday parties, as previously parties hosted were at lunch tables accessible to anyone at the arcade.
It is unknown when the doors to their new location will open.
