BHHS vs. WBHS Playoff Game
The Bloomfield Blackhawks football team is taking on the West Bloomfield Lakers on Friday, October 27th, for the first round of district playoffs.
Earlier this season, the Blackhawks defeated the Lakers, the fourth ranked team in the state according to maxpreps.com, by a score of 28-24.
Senior captain, John Paddock explains how this game will be very emotional and how it has huge implications. “Everyone is ready and excited for the challenge, and we are a much better team now then we were earlier in the season when we won. I am very focused on just doing my job, and doing everything I can to lead my team to victory,” said Paddock a Ball State commit. “This is a cross town rivalry that has started between us and them. This is definitely more than just another playoff game, it’s not like we’re playing just an average school. We see these kids all the time when we go out and that definitely enhances the rivalry aspect.”
The Blackhawks, who have won 6 games this year, lost last year in the first round to West Bloomfield High school, 31-14.
The game will take place at West Bloomfield High school, at 7:00 pm, and the Bloomfield Hills Hammer authority, according to their twitter @BHHSCAGE, says to wear all white to support the team.

I am Dani and i am from Miss Hammitt’s Writing class. I think you did an excellent job researching about the football team this year and included an interview. It shows me there was a lot of effort put into this article and dedication. Overall it is very well written and attention grabbing.

Hey Max! I really like this article. Considering the fact that I’m on the football team, I really enjoyed reading this because of the ethos you used. The quotes from John Paddock really helped the credibility of this article because he’s a captain on the team. It was very factual because of this. Someone who wasn’t on the team would’ve benefit from reading this because of that. Awesome job!
