Boys Hockey Game Jan. 18th VS. Birmingham United

The only thought on the Bloomfield Hills Blackhawks varsity hockey team is redemption.  On Thursday, January 18th, they have one chance to avenge their early season loss to cross town rivals, Birmingham United.

“This is more than a normal game to us,” says senior captain Daniel Sternberg.  “We haven’t beat Birmingham since my sophomore season, and I know I want to end my high school career against them with a win.”

Playing against such a hated rival always leads to a chippy, fast paced game, where everyone does whatever they can to help their team.

“Whenever we play Birmingham, it gets intense very quickly,” explains Sternberg, a three year varsity player.  “I can guarantee a good game, because I know the other players and I will give it our all in order to win.”

The game is at the Detroit Skating Club at 7:45.
