Blood drive comes to Bloomfield
On November 5th, Student Leadership held another successful fall blood drive. With 37 procedures performed, 43 pints of blood were donated by students and staff.
Although coordinated by leadership students, the drive’s result of 129 lives saved would not have been possible without a partnership with Michigan Blood, a blood drive company whose main focus is making sure that blood donated in Michigan saves lives in Michigan.
“I was really pleased with Michigan Blood because the staff was really easy to work with and made it a positive experience for the donors. Overall, we were really happy with the results of the blood drive this fall,” said blood drive coordinator Anna Ryan.
Michigan Blood also created a welcoming and safe experience for donors, which resulted in a sizeable amount of donors and blood donated. The next blood drive at BHHS will be held in the spring.
