Boys Basketball Advances in Playoffs
Wednesday night, February 27th, the Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks varsity basketball team topped Avondale 46-38 in the district semi-finals. Mason Canfield (17 pts) and Collin Hecker (15 pts) led the scoring for the Black Hawks.
“Wednesday night’s game was a fun one. Avondale is a team with a lot of talent and athleticism, but we were able to beat them by limiting their offense and controlling the pace of the game,” said Captain Ari Singer.
The Black Hawks will face St. Mary’s (14-7) for the District Championship on Friday at 7:00 PM at Bloomfield Hills High School. This will be the two teams’ first meeting of the season.
“St. Mary’s is a very good team that we will go up against tomorrow, and I am excited to see what we can do against them,” said Singer.
