Mr. Drogosch nominated for Oakland County High School Teacher of the Year
On February 10, 2017, Chris Drogosch, a math teacher here at Bloomfield Hills High School, freshmen advisory teacher, and father of senior student C.J. Drogosch, found out that he was nominated for Oakland County High School Teacher of the Year.
Students and staff gathered in front of his A100 learning community door, while his class smiled watching him light up with emotions. The administration made him a sign, cake, and brought over balloons. He was not expecting to receive this honor; his wife and son had to keep the secret.
Drogosch has been teaching in the Bloomfield community for 27 years, starting after the birth of the family’s first child Kirstin who graduated Lahser in 2008. He has been at Bloomfield Hills Middle School, Lahser High School, and now Bloomfield Hills High School.
Mr. Drogosch’s wife, Anne Drogosch, was also nominated for an award this year, too. She is up for Troy District Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Drogosch teaches at Smith Middle School in Troy.
After he fills out and sends in a little bit of paperwork about himself, Mr. Drogosch will find out if he wins later this school year.
