If I could be one food item, it would be a cupcake. But not just any cupcake, a yummy cupcake from Yummy Cupcakes.

Simply walking into yummy cupcakes provides a breath of fresh air. On that Wednesday afternoon, the cozy and cute ambience greets its customers with a smile on their faces. Reading into all of the smiles around the shop, I knew that Yummy Cupcakes would deliver expertise as it brings nuance to the cupcake tray.  

Located on the corner of Woodward and Long Lake Roads in Bloomfield Hills, I received a very kind greeting from the worker as I later bought 6 cupcakes. I tried the green tea, bumpy cake, vegan chocolate, lemon, peanut butter cup, and brown sugar cinnamon cupcakes.

All of the cupcakes were decorated and frosted immaculately. I was very impressed with the quality of each.

The cupcake types range from your typical chocolate and vanilla flavors to banana split and berry cobbler flavors. Along with around 10 traditionally flavored cupcakes that are available to be purchased everyday, five or six specialty flavors are rotated daily. Vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free cupcakes are also available.

The price was $18.50 for six cupcakes which may be expensive, however it was well worth it. The shop also has a rewards system with frequent text messages about sales and discounts.

I took the cupcakes back home to enjoy later. After the first bite I was in awe.

From the green tea cupcake to the vegan chocolate cupcake, all were perfect. The cake’s were rich and decadent and the frosting was simply delectable.

My favorite was a tie between the bumpy cake cupcake and the green tea. Both were very flavorful and authentic.

The store also sells shots of its famous frosting in push up pops and miniature cupcakes  if one wishes to rejoice in the deliciousness.

Yummy Cupcakes has established itself as the premier cupcake destination in in the area. Yummy Cupcakes offers no comparison to cupcakes bought at large grocery stores such as Plum Market and Kroger or even specialized stores like Cupcake Station in Downtown Birmingham.

Yummy Cupcakes dominates the cupcake business in a superbly yummy way.
