BHSD To Keep Old Lahser High School Property In Current Condition
According to the Bloomfield Hills School District, the old Lahser High School property will sit as it currently is for the foreseeable future, after half of it was demolished.
The Bloomfield Hills Schools Board of Education approved the demolition of this half of Lahser on February 16, 2017.
BHSD Director of Physical Plant Services Brian Goby said that the demolition was “a result of our Master Property Planning process.”
“It was determined that that part of the building wasn’t needed,” Goby said. Since being demolished over the summer, “[the half] was just seeded but will remain fenced in,” Goby said.

Hey I’m Hamza Malik and this article is very useful because I’ve been so confused about what was going on at Lahser, but now I’m happy to find out that it will still be their because for cross country we run to Lahser a lot! Also, I like how you made it short and sweet!!

Hello Evan! Thanks for this article as it is very informative. I like how you interviewed Brian Goby as he is an authority figure who added lots of depth to this article. It was very short and to the point and that’s what makes this article so great! This is also good news because there are some parts of the school that can still be utilized! Thanks so much for sharing!

Hello, My name is Aaron. I am on the robotics team and we meet in the part of Lahser that is still standing. I liked how your piece was short and got to the point quickly. In the little content that was there you packed it with direct quotes from primary sources. This was well done.

Hi I am Jacob Werthmann and I am in Ms. Hammit’s writing through literary genres class. You did a good job of getting to the point with good direct quotes. During the soccer season we play at Lahser and it’s great because we don’t have to share the field with anyone else so practice can be 100%. Good job!
