World Language Department Participates in Food Drive

The Bloomfield Hills High School World Language Department organized and ran a food drive to benefit local citizens, encouraging language students to participate and gathering a total of over 1,200 cans, according to Spanish teacher Alison Gallagher.

“The Hispanic Outreach Organization contacted us to see if we would be willing to participate in a food drive, so we made it a competition among the world language department,” Gallagher said.

Students brought a variety of different food items with the objective of aiding individuals near the Bloomfield Hills community, specifically in neighboring Pontiac.

Gallagher continued, elaborating on the outcome of the drive, that “the food drive was very successful and exceeded our expectations.”
