The college football season is off to quite the start this year. There have been some major headlines such as Notre Dame’s abysmal start to the Marcus Freeman era, FCS schools like Appalachian State and Georgia Southern getting paid over a million dollars by Power 5 schools just to take them down, and the firing of Nebraska head coach Scott Frost. 

Through these first three weeks of the college football season, there have already been a handful of players who have separated themselves as legitimate candidates for the Heisman Trophy.
