Spotify has 626 million monthly users as of 2024. These users are likely listening to a wide variety of artists. You and I may have very different tastes in music; however, the best artists may be more alike than they seem. Each of them use creative and astonishing ways to capture the hearts of their listeners.  

Taylor Swift

There is no doubt that Taylor Swift is one of the best music artists right now. She has consistently sold-out shows for her Eras Tour and extremely loyal fans. Her tour has been going on since 2023 and she continues to amaze viewers with every show by debuting new outfits, singing new music, and so much more. Taylor has been able to grasp viewers’ eyes since she first started creating music and continues to do so twenty years later.

Taylor’s fans, who call themselves “Swifties,” never fail to defend her and devise new theories about what is coming next has played a huge role in keeping her on top. Sometimes being called “too extreme,” they consistently help Taylor shine.

She is a musical mastermind when it comes to keeping her fans and listeners on their toes. Everything she posts and says is foreshadowing and ends in a profound result. For example, at the 2024 Grammys, everyone was expecting her to announce a re-released album, Reputation Taylor Version, but instead, she released a whole new album that no one saw coming. Many people grew up on her music and words. She continues to influence many generations and is a core foundation for music in many lives. 

Travis Scott

Travis Scott has an average of 72.1 million monthly listeners, with his top song reaching a billion streams. In 2024, on his Circus Maximus Tour, debuting his Utopia album, Travis Scott played his hit song FE!N up to 24 times in a row at just one concert. 

Travis Scott is a 32 year old, rapper, singer, song writer, and producer. He is not only known for his creative concerts, but also for his music videos. Specifically, his video for Topia Twins on his Utopia album. 

This year, Travis came out with a new single called “Active”. The two minute long song he partners with Nigerian singer, Asake, in which he sings multiple verses in Nigerian, showcasing culture and depth. 

Travis continues to stay on top of the industry because of his ability to push the boundaries of song and production. In his music he uses intricate layering instrumentals and heavy bass lines that immerse listeners. Travis is not just a rapper but an artist recognized by multitudes of peoples, he continues to amaze his fans and further his career with every song.

Bruno Mars

When you used to think of Bruno Mars you would probably think of the songs Just the Way You Are, When I Was Your Man, or maybe 24K Magic. But now, with his new collaborative singles, you may think of Die With A Smile and APT. A lot of people will say that Bruno fell off the map in some form, after not producing music for so long. However, he has made an impeccable comeback to the music industry as of this year.

Mars has always done a good job making a name for himself and he is continuing to do so with his two new singles collaborating with Lady Gaga and ROSÉ. It is unfair to say his singing partners were the reason the songs became a hit when within days of the songs getting released Bruno’s monthly streams rose immensely. His listeners per month have risen to 120.2 million since the release of Die With a Smile. Who knew one new song could make others so popular? Almost all of his songs have risen since reaching over 2 billion streams each.

With his spectacular career, Bruno has won 15 Grammys, and he is set to be nominated for more at the 2025 event. He is a monumental figure in the music industry pathing ways and continuously rising in his career. 

Morgan Wallen

Morgan Wallen grew up in Sneedville, Tennessee. He got his start on The Voice as a contestant in 2014. Since then he has risen to fame releasing new hits every year. His most recent one, Love Somebody, released on October 18, 2024.

Aside from his steady release of new songs, he also has a steady record of arrests. His most recent being April 7, 2024. Despite his shady activities resulting in police attention, he still has an average of 37.7 million monthly listeners. 

This year, he extended his One Night At A Time Tour with ten additional shows, due to fan requests. Collaborating with other artists including, Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson, which resulted in increased support from fans. 

Morgan has continued to be a substantial figure in country music and either being a good or bad influence depending on perspective. 

Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter has had a packed year full of her release of her newest album Short n’ Sweet and her opening tour that came with it. She is an incredibly talented artist and her songs showcase her witty sense of humor and creativity. She is constantly impressing her fans of all ages and influencing young aspiring musicians to be themselves. 

Earlier this year Sabrina released two teaser singles to her new album, Espresso and Please Please Please. These songs were immediately on Billboard’s Hot 100 List and people began to pay more attention to her. She then released the full album, Short n’ Sweet which caused her fans to sell out her Short n’ Sweet tour across the country. She stays at the forefront of the industry by using unique and catchy lyrics to create a continuous craving to stream her songs. 

She has an average of 79 million monthly listeners that have supported her since the beginning of her career, specifically when she started off as an actress on the Disney show, Girl Meets World. 

Sabrina is a creative and surprising artist in the music industry, never failing to amaze fans and crowds alike.
